About Us
Our purpose is to provide free and easy access to study Scripture and understand Christianity’s core tenets and doctrines. Our desire is to glorify God by providing a source for believers to build strong Biblical foundations and strengthen their faith. We also seek to present Christian doctrines and teachings to the broader culture, where misconceptions abound concerning the foundations of Christian belief.
During these days of clamor, it is necessary to be purposeful and diligent in earnestly contending for the fundamentals of our faith, which are daily buffeted and pared away.
Our live online Zoom classes offer an avenue to explore Scripture, Christian doctrines, and teachings (all completely free) to equip you with clarity and boldness in the face of confusion and compromise.
We hold to the authority of Scripture and employ a conservative, historically grounded approach to interpretation so that we may rightly divide the Word of truth and pursue the things which become sound doctrine. We utilize seminary and graduate-level textbooks and other scholarly resources to augment our carefully prepared class slides, drawing from such scholars as F. F. Bruce, Norman Geisler, D. A. Carson, Douglas Moo, Carl Rasmussen, Craig Keener, and others. Our class slides and study materials are also made freely available so participants can continue to deepen their study after each class.
All who seek to learn and grow are welcome to join our free webinars. Instructor
Walter Smiechewicz (smi-HEV-ich) is a Christian and has been a student of the Bible since the evening he committed his life to Christ. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Columbia International University and studied biblical history and geography at Jerusalem University College/The Institute of Holy Land Studies in Israel. He also earned a postgraduate degree in globalization from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
Walter interned and was ordained at Northside Baptist Church in South Carolina. He later served in India for two years, where he lectured at Hindustan Bible Institute & College in Chennai.
He founded Studio Scriptura out of a desire to make serious biblical study freely accessible to believers around the world.
Alongside his biblical studies and ministry, Walter has been blessed with a successful career in business. He holds an undergraduate degree in Accountancy, is a Certified Public Accountant, and has held senior leadership positions at two of the world’s largest professional services firms as well as several U.S. banks.
